During this summer, here are some other things we will be doing as a church:

 

ELIM - this stands for "Encouraging Leaders In Ministry".  There is a retreat center located near Huron City that hosts full-time Ministers & Missionaries for a week of renewal & rest.  This is the 3rd year that our church will serve as hosts for a week. We not only underwrite the cost, but we help clean, cook, pray, listen, and do a number of things to care for the guests.

 

VBS Soccer Camp - the week of June 22-26 we host this event for children ages 4-13.  Kids learn soccer skills in appropriate age groups along with Biblical truths and application examples.  The camp is held at the Harbor Beach H.S. athletic complex.

 

40 Days of Love - a focus on what should be our highest goal in life: Loving God & others.  This will be the focus of our Sunday morning messages from June 28 - August 9.  We'll also have small groups that meet in homes during the week to further process this theme and look at what Jesus taught about relationships. 

 

Fellowship Events:  We schedule times during the summer simply to have fellowship and fun together - whether it is a campout, picnic, youth retreat, or softball outing.  These events are noted on our monthly calendar and in weekly bulletins.

 

September will bring the start-up of new ministries along with making adjustments for children and youth who participate in age-specific ministries.  This brochure will be updated again at that time.

Small Groups have numerous advantages and the potential of creating dynamic disciples through nontraditional means and ministries.  Find a small group that you can be involved in!
