To Our Guests: Thank you for worshipping with us today. We hope you experience God's love and presence with us. Our service begins with singing worship songs to God that may not be familiar to you. Feel free to stand or sit and participate in a manner in which you feel comfortable. We encourage sincere, God-focused worship that engages our mind, body, & emotions. We'd appreciate you taking a moment to fill out a Welcome Lighthouse Connection Card (located in the pew & chair holders). Feel free to add any comments or prayer requests on the back side and place it in the offering bag or give it to a greeter or usher.
Sunday School: We have classes for ages two years through adult. We also have a nursery for those under 2 years of age, while their parents are attending an adult class. Sunday School is a time to both study God's Word in a group setting and build loving relationships. We are grateful for our excellent Sunday School staff.
Children's Ministry: We offer a variety of ministry to children each Sunday. Today is BGMC Sunday, for children ages 4 through 5th grade. This is a mission-focused class where they learn about the work of missionaries all over the world. Buddy Barrels, containing children's mission offerings, will be collected at this time. There will also be a brief Children's Music practice after the service today for grades 1 - 7.
Nursery Care & Children in Worship: We highly value children! Children's ministries take place at Sunday School and during our Worship service. Children of all ages are encouraged to be in the singing portion of our service, although the Infant Nursery is available for those under 2 years for the whole service. During the sermon, the Infant Nursery is for children under two years old, and the Preschool Nursery is for children who are two years through those who have not yet begun Kindergarten. Please keep your children with you and out of the nurseries if they show any signs of illness. A Nursing/Cry Room is also available at the back of the sanctuary.
Nursery Schedule: Today Janet Arntz & Rich Winkel serve in the Preschool Nursery and Naomi Winkel & Annette Goldkette serve in the Infant Nursery. Thanks to everyone who gave toward the mission trip that Allen & Neisha Klaski are en route to. If you were not here or forgot to give and would still like to, be sure your special offering is in an envelope and that you designate on the envelope the amount to go toward the "Klaski Mission Trip".
Thank You to all who helped in the preparation, set-up, staffing, and clean-up of our Hallelujah Party. Your efforts are very much appreciated and truly a blessing to all who took part in this event!
Today is Missions Sunday. We encourage everyone to give generously on a monthly basis toward missions through an offering designated to "Missions". We also share in the Lord's Supper on Missions Sunday. We want all who have responded to the Gospel of Christ's death for our sins by receiving Him as Lord and Savior to participate with gratitude and faith.
Next Sunday is our monthly Family Sunday. Ginger Pysklo will be preaching at our morning worship service and our children's choir will minister in song. Pastor Dennis will be attending a "Celebrate Recovery" seminar in Indiana and will be gone Friday - Monday.
November calendars are available in the foyer if you did not get one last week. Corrections to the calendar: There will be no Prayer Gathering on Thursday, Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving) and no Women's Breakfast on Friday, Nov. 27. The next Women's Breakfast at Vicky's will be on Friday, December 18. Please make these corrections on your copy of the calendar.

Prayer Response at the Altar: After every service, we encourage anyone who wants to respond to God's Word & Spirit to come to the altar area in front of the sanctuary platform. We'd be happy to pray with you or you can pray on your own.
Plan ahead to attend two Thanksgiving events: 1) Our church potluck on Sunday, Nov. 15 after our morning service; 2) Our Community Thanksgiving Service on Nov. 22, 5:00 p.m., at the Harbor Beach United Methodist Church.
Thanksgiving potluck: Sunday, Nov. 15 right after our morning service. Turkey, dressing, & beverages will be provided. Please bring a Thanksgiving meal side-dish to share. Also, please bring your food ready to serve (other than keeping it warm or cold in our kitchen). Plan to attend if able. Talk with Ed or Ann Sams with any questions (269-7224).
Fall Serve Day - Saturday, Nov. 14th at 11:00 a.m. Meet at a designated home, then go on to others from there. We will clean out gutters and rake leaves for those who have a need and can't do it themselves. Please call Greg Gephart (428-4554) if you need your house done or want to help in the effort. Lunch will be at the Gepharts after the work is done.
We will have Water Baptisms as part of our service on Sunday, November 15th. If you have any questions or interest in being baptized in water, call or e-mail Pastor Dennis (pastorcup@gmail.com or 479-9146).
Membership opportunities: Anyone with possible interest in becoming a member of our church and who has not taken part in a membership class can do so in November by either attending two Wednesday evening classes - November 11th & 18th, or one Saturday class on November 28th from 10:30-3:00. Talk to Pastor Dennis with any questions.
Groceries for Annual Harvest Festival - Each fall we participate in giving non-perishable food items and hygiene products that will be given to the Pastors & families of smaller churches within our Section. These pastors live on very meager incomes and often have to work another job. Please donate items if able by Sunday Nov. 8th and place them on the floor in the NW information corner of the foyer.
Christian Women United will hold their next gathering on Friday, November 6th, 1:00 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Harbor Beach. Linda Schramm will speak on "How I Changed Over the Years". A time of refreshments and fellowship will follow.
